Reception / Admin Vacancies

We currently have a vacancy for a full-time (or three part-time) receptionists to work in our busy surgery. While previous experience of reception /admin work in a medical environment would be preferred, full training will be given to the successful applicant.

POST TITLE          Receptionist / Administrator

 

HOURS                          One full-time (37.5 hours/week) or three part-time posts (ca 20 hours/week) working on a two-week shift pattern with either a 8.30am start or 6.30pm finish. One post will require 6-8pm cover from Mon- Thurs (start time flexible). Some flexibility re early starts/late finishes required.

 

MAIN DUTIES       Working as part of the reception/admin team in a busy medical practice, your main duties will cover manning switchboard and reception (booking appointments, dealing with requests for assistance from patients, GPs and other medical staff); scanning and filing data and managing repeat prescriptions. Full training will be given. You will have good written and communication skills; excellent interpersonal skills; an unflappable nature and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Previous experience of our clinical system (TPP) and customer service would be a considerable asset.
